BRENT, Ala. — Authorities in Bibb County have arrested four men on charges related to a child sex trafficking ring that allegedly operated out of an underground bunker near Brent, with victims as young as 2 years old.
The arrests followed a months-long investigation by the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office. Investigators say the suspects, who lived on or near Erin Drive, are accused of sexually abusing multiple children inside a concealed storm shelter behind their homes between January 2024 and April 2025.
According to law enforcement, at least six children between the ages of 2 and 10 were restrained, sexually assaulted and, in some cases, forced to participate in acts that were filmed and distributed online. Investigators allege the suspects took payment for access to the children.
The men arrested include William Chase McElroy, Dalton Terrell, Andres Trejo-Velazquez and Timothy St. John. Charges among the suspects include rape, sodomy, human trafficking, kidnapping, possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material, and, for at least one suspect, bestiality and animal cruelty.
Law enforcement described the discovery as one of the most severe child exploitation cases the county has seen. Officials say the investigation is ongoing and more victims or suspects may come to light. To protect the children involved, authorities have not released further identifying details.
The case, still unfolding, has shocked both the local community and advocates, underscoring what law enforcement says is a persistent threat from child predators operating in secrecy.
